Announcement

TO: All Interested Parties

The Department of Building Inspection is fully committed to the fair and expeditious enforcement of the disability access regulations contained in the California Code of Regulations, Title 24.

To assist us in that process, I would like to announce the formation of a Disability Access Task Force. The Department is particularly interested in utilizing the collective expertise of the task force to design solutions for the resolution of the disability access complaint backlog.

The composition of the task force will be:

• Three members from the disabled community or representative group
• One landlord member
• One tenant member
• One building designer (architect or engineer) member
• One contractor member
• One staff member from Department of Building Inspection

The Department welcomes your participation. If you are interested in serving on this task force, please submit a letter of intent in writing, on diskette, or on a tape cassette to accommodate people with disabilities by March 15, 1996.
